Personally, I love Axes cause of Disrupting Chop...nothing feels better then interrupting someone's rez or stopping a Monk's Healing Breeze. I also, really enjoy using Penetrating Blow and it's 20% Armor Penetration...I guess it's just the Ranger side of me...Plus, I haven't got this skill yet, but I heard that Cleave is quite effective and efficient due to it's low adrenal cost and solid damage bonus.

I have tried both and I just preferr the sword skills they rely less on adrenaline granted I have limited energy as a WA/RA but apply poison on my sword and sever artery you are looking at <7 life degen

I much prefer axe. It's better in pretty much every respect - better damage, a deep wound without a bleeding prerequisite, better aoe (cyclone axe), and Disrupting Chop, which is easily one of the better interrupts in the game, and the best one available for warriors. Adrenaline costs are only slightly higher than sword, and easy access to Cyclone Axe means you can build your adrenaline quite quickly if you're mobbed.
edit: better damage with respect to skills, not the actual weapon's damage range. |

I know Mr Boo just dont want the issue to be blotted out by axe fanatics. I myself switch between axe and sword depending on the area I am helping a guildie in. Overall I have had the most use of a sword in early areas and less so in later. I even use my hammer in the ring of fire as the sword and axe just dont help me much against those nasties and my only real job as a warrior is to keep the baddies layin on the ground as much as possible while the ele's kill.

i would say axe is probably better, since there dont seem to actually be ANY sword skills(hundred blades is no attribute) if i am wrong feel free to flame/correct me
EDIT: stop the flaming for a sec, i meant ELITE skills, sorry for the mistake |
